The beginnings of CincyBindery go back to 1964 when Hugo Grummich started Cincinnati Bindery. Hugo was a master bookbinder from Austria. He is the father of Karl Grummich the present owner of CincyBindery. The business flourished and in the 1980’s Hugo retired and sold it to the Klein family. In the 1990’s Karl bought the assets which were later sold twice more to outside investors who eventually moved the enterprise out of state leaving a highly skilled workforce here in Cincinnati.

Old customers pleaded with Karl to reopen the bindery because they longed for the quality of days gone by. He relented and now we have CincyBindery back in the original factory building with the original skilled workers eager for new challenges.
